As a mental performance coach, I've had the privilege of working with athletes like you to help excel in the game of basketball. Today, I want to share with you a concept that can make a significant difference not only in your basketball career but in your life as well.


That concept is W.I.N, or What's Important Now.


In the fast-paced world of basketball, there are countless distractions and pressures that can pull your focus away from the game. You might be worried about your shooting percentage, your playing time, or the expectations of your coaches, teammates, and fans.


Off the court, there could be academic challenges, personal issues, or other responsibilities that weigh on your mind. All of these things can cloud your focus and hinder your performance.


That's where W.I.N comes in. When you ask yourself, "What's important now?" you bring your attention back to the present moment. You remind yourself to focus on the task at hand, to give your best effort, and to make the most of every opportunity.
